Improved Dynamic Power Flow Model with Frequency Regulation by DFIG Integrated through VSC-HVDC Considering Governor Delay of SG

The doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs) integrated to the grid through voltage source converter-high direct current (VSC-HVDC), cascaded droop control from system frequency DC voltage, then active output of DFIG, was applied enhance regulation capability power system. improved dynamic flow (DPF) model newly proposed quantify response coordinated with inertia VSC-HVDC and DFIGs, primary synchronous (SGs) DFIGs. New features include: (i) SGs’ in DPF considering governor delay, (ii) setting virtual within constraint, (iii) variable DFIGs following changing kinetic energy rotor. numerical results show feasibility model, validate effect accuracy modified maximized VSC-HVDC.
